About Us:

Osmind is a technology, services, and data company focused exclusively on psychiatry. Mental health disorders are one of the leading causes of death worldwide and are tied to shortening lifespans. Yet, we have cause for hope: there have been developments in new psychiatric medications since the first FDA approval in 1954, such as new treatments like ketamine, Spravato, and neuromodulation. Now, there is a growing movement among clinicians, patients, and researchers to close the gap between this scientific innovation and better real-world care.

At Osmind, we serve a network of 800+ independent psychiatry practices across 49 states. We help these clinics effectively provide high-quality care, scale as businesses, and contribute to research with our purpose-built EHR, software solutions, clinician community, and managed services. Our providers are at the forefront of psychiatry, offering innovative interventions and treating some of the highest acuity patients in the country.

Osmind is a San Francisco–based public benefit corporation backed by top investors including DFJ Growth, Future Ventures, General Catalyst, and Y Combinator.

Position Overview:

As Director of RCM, you will be responsible designing, implementing, and scaling best-in-class revenue cycle management operations to support psychiatric practices across the United States. Building on our pilot program foundation, this role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution to manage our billing partner and spearhead client relationship management. This is a unique opportunity to help build a transformative healthcare organization from the ground up while solving critical challenges for psychiatric providers and their patients. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of mental healthcare delivery through innovative, technology-enabled RCM solutions.

Location:

This role will be based in the United States with minimal travel required.

  • Develop and execute the overall RCM strategy and account management for scaling our RCM services offering beyond the pilot phase

  • Oversee team performance and professional development

  • Billing operations and performance

  • Directly oversee our billing partner and internal team to drive maximum billing and credentialing performance

  • Set and achieve revenue cycle performance targets, such as clean claim rates, days in AR, and denial rates

  • Develop reporting frameworks to track team and financial performance

  • Identify opportunities for revenue optimization

  • Client management & account ownership

  • Build and manage RCM account management, fully owning the layer between the clinics and RCM operations

  • Own client communication regarding billing performance, denials trends, payer issues, and operational questions

  • Establish trust and strong relationships with clinic stakeholders including practice owners, clinicians, and administrative staff

  • Process building and clinic workflow optimization

  • Build out best practices & processes for clinics to successfully maximize revenue collections

  • Work with internal product and engineering teams to suggest improvements to EHR & practice management and automation tooling

  • Partner with internal billing operations to triage and resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments

  • Drive continuous improvement in internal SOPs and handoffs between RCM, implementation, and success

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) and credentialing experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles

  • Extensive knowledge of behavioral health billing

  • Direct experience working and interfacing with clinicians and practice staff members
