Our HubSpot People Operations team takes an innovative and flexible approach to HR (we aren’t your traditional HR team). We embrace our unique culture and solve for our rapid business growth. We are looking for an exceptional Director of HR Business Partners to join us and help raise our bar. You will play a pivotal role in shaping HubSpot’s next chapter by partnering with leaders to achieve our strategic goals.
The ideal candidate in this role will be passionate about learning HubSpot’s culture, how we support our leaders and our strategic goals. You can prepare to be immersed in our non-traditional approach to HR and how we help our leaders solve problems while staying true to the culture we are so proud of.
In your role, you will:
Manage a team of 4+ experienced HRBPs and be tasked with creating the operating model for engagement within the Flywheel pillar
Serve as an advocate and coach for building diverse and inclusive teams while also modelling HubSpot’s high-performance culture within your own team
Provide strategic HR leadership to our chief executive in our go-to-market teams to develop and execute HR strategies in support of our high-performance culture
Guide & coach senior leadership across people-related areas such as talent & performance management, employee engagement, change management, and org design
Proactively utilize people trends to identify gaps, and deploy people strategies that enable the organization to perform effectively, and scale efficiently as it grows
Positively collaborate & influence across peers within our broader People Operations team to drive HR initiatives that solve for your clients' strategic needs
We’re looking for someone who:
Seeks out and thrives in a culture of high ambiguity and chaos and knows how to drive success as priorities shift
Has a strong customer service mindset & entrepreneurial spirit. Seeks out & incorporates customer feedback early and often
Wants to raise the bar; feels passionate about treating their stakeholders as customers and has a deep sense of ownership and urgency for their work
Has the ability to exercise sound and efficient judgment when managing complex decisions, and utilizes data and systems to drive decision making
Has an incredibly high level of confidentiality and discretion
Is a natural communicator and relationship builder to influence across all personalities
Is resourceful and resilient in the face of ambiguity and disagreement
Enjoys pivoting from strategic problem solving to strong execution (known to roll up their sleeves to get the job done)
Has multiple years of HRBP experience in a high-growth tech company, specifically supporting technical leaders as their primary stakeholder
Is curious and wants to challenge orthodoxy
Cash compensation range: 176,900 - 283,000 USD Annually This resource will help guide how we recommend thinking about the range you see. Learn more about HubSpot’s compensation philosophy from Katie Burke, HubSpot’s Chief People Officer. The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons. We know that benefits are also an important piece of your total compensation package. To learn more about what’s included in total compensation, check out some of the benefits and perks HubSpot offers to help employees grow better. At HubSpot, fair compensation practices isn’t just about checking off the box for legal compliance. It’s about living out our value of transparency with our employees, candidates, and community.
