Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Discovery. Contribute to the discovery phase through user stories, research, competitor analysis, wireframes, and user flows. Help define key problems, uncover opportunities, and propose meaningful solutions.

  • Definition. Translate insights, data and user research into prototypes to validate ideas with stakeholders and end users. 

  • Visual design. Craft creative, on-brand visual solutions — including emails, banners, graphics, UI, motion and interactive designs, landing pages, and websites — that attract users, communicate value, and inspire them to create.

  • Implementation. Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure design fidelity during implementation. Review final deliverables with a sharp eye for detail across layout, imagery, typography, and interaction quality.

  • Iteration. Continuously test, learn, and optimise pages and user flows to improve engagement and conversion outcomes.

  • Design at scale. Design with scalability in mind — considering internationalisation, CMS integration, accessibility, design systems, mobile responsiveness, and technical constraints and opportunities.

You're probably a match if

  • You have a portfolio that demonstrates experience in designing landing pages, a strong understanding of user behaviour and how to drive conversion. 

  • You work iteratively and have experience with conversion optimisation, A/B testing, User testing and using data to inform design decisions.

  • You’re comfortable with the various acquisition channels (SEO, SEM, Social, etc.) and can provide holistic, consistent and performant solutions. 

  • You shine through your designs, creating user flows and wireframes that simplify user experience.

  • You’re eager to visually communicate your ideas through prototypes to test with users.  

  • You thrive in a collaborative workplace partnering with other designers, engineers, product developers and other disciplines throughout the company.

  • Bonus: You have motion design experience with the ability to tell a story (e.g., prototyping or vector animation).

The Marketing Technology Group at Canva exists to grow, engage, and retain users across every stage of their journey. Our mission is to scale marketing efforts globally and sustainably - driving user acquisition, activation, and long-term value through visual storytelling and delightful digital experiences.

As a digital designer in MarTech, you’ll collaborate with data analysts, brand and motion designers, product designers, and engineers to craft and optimise top-of-funnel experiences on Canva’s website. You’ll design user journeys that help people discover the full breadth of Canva’s paid offerings, guide them to the right plan for their needs, and deliver a seamless and inspiring user experience from the first click to conversion.

Our website reaches millions of people globally and serves as one of the most influential touchpoints for users discovering Canva — setting the tone for how they experience our brand and product.
