THE OPPORTUNITY

This DevOps manager position can work out remotely within the U.S. The DevOps Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of DevOps practices, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder requirements. This role involves designing software architecture, defining system roadmaps, and leading architectural governance to support future iterations and scalability. By collaborating closely with technical teams, the manager refines system requirements, addresses constraints, and maintains architectural integrity throughout the project lifecycle — all while driving quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop software reference architecture, system and platform roadmaps, detailed technical solutions, and overall strategy of software solution implementation in native, web, and cloud applications.

  • Establishes the architecture for a technology group to allow for future iteration and feature expansion.

  • Leads system/platform architecture roadmap definition & planning.

  • Inform the design evolution in the exploration and prototype stages.

  • Capture and optimize the architecture to address current & future stakeholder needs during feasibility.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to define and refine key system requirements in early stages and understand technology capabilities.

  • Work with Design and Development teams to identify and address key constraints.

  • Partner/Lead the project teams to maintain architecture through development, qualification, and commercialization of the project.

  • Work closely with the technical leads on product development programs to lead technical integration topics across engineering disciplines.

  • Attend and provide guidance on technical reviews at design & integration cycle milestones.

  • Assesses issues across a systems platform and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Supports company initiatives and complies with regulatory requirements by FDA and other relevant global regulatory agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering Mathematics, or related field.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience.

  • Deep understanding of architecture principles, patterns, frameworks, and blueprints.

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and design practices for enterprise and cloud-based solutions.

  • Proficient in database technologies and their application in scalable systems.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Bitbucket Pipelines.

  • Familiarity with deployment support tools and processes.

  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and solutions, including cryptography concepts.

  • Experience in application security and system safety.

  • Knowledge of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles.

  • Experience implementing cloud-based solutions or components.

  • Skilled in documenting architectural and design decisions clearly and effectively.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals and extensive software development experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and effective collaboration with peers and leadership.

  • Proven team leadership and mentorship capabilities.
