Implementing complex projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing, and making available large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms. Developing prototypes & PoC’s for the selected solutions. You will play a critical role in driving the engineering and building of Geospatial Data Assets to support this Digital Farming Platform and R&D product pipeline initiative.
Experience Required:
• Software engineering experience with programming languages like Go, Python, or Java
• Capable of building highly scalable API’s and associative architecture to support thousands of requests per second
• Passion for building tools to improve CI/CD patterns for multiple development teams that are consistent with security and DevOps best practices. Example: GitOps workflows
• Experience working with large geospatial data sets applying GDAL and similar spatial libraries
• Demonstrated knowledge of agriculture and/or agriculture-oriented businesses
Bonus | Nice to Have:
• Experience with creating Kubernetes operators using Kubebuilder or Operator SDK
• Experience with Argo CD / Flux / Argo Workflows
• Experience with object-oriented design, coding and testing patterns as well as experience in engineering (commercial or open source) software platforms and large-scale data infrastructures should be present.
• Knowledge of open-source geospatial solutions like GeoServer, GeoTrellis, GeoMesa
*This role would allow you to work from anywhere in the United States. You would join a distributed team located throughout the country in a remote capacity.*
