As a Data Science Lead (Retention), your mission is to leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to optimize customer retention strategies, drive revenue growth, and maximize customer lifetime value. You’ll lead data-driven initiatives end-to-end — from building predictive models to shaping loyalty programs — and collaborate with marketing, product, and international teams to transform insights into strategic retention actions across multiple channels and markets.What You’ll Do Retention Analytics & Strategy

  • Develop and implement segmentation strategies to personalize customer communication.

  • Track and optimize retention and LTV metrics, identifying opportunities to reduce churn.

  • Design and optimize discount coupon and loyalty program strategies to improve margins and engagement.

  • Support business teams with data-driven insights for decision-making.

Machine Learning & Modeling

  • Implement and evaluate models (e.g., churn prediction, LTV, propensity to buy) to boost campaign effectiveness.

  • Identify and execute process improvements with ML techniques.

Experimentation & Testing

  • Set up and manage A/B tests and experimental methodologies.

  • Design tests to optimize communication frequency without revenue loss.

Visualization & Reporting

  • Partner with BI to develop accurate dashboards and reporting systems.

  • Automate reporting and create alerts for early detection of performance issues.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Work closely with Growth Marketing, International Expansion, and Product teams to adapt strategies for global markets.

  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the CMO.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

  • Provide technical guidance and lead cross-functional data initiatives.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in data science/analytics with a strong focus on retention and customer insights.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Strong programming skills in SQL and Python (or R).

  • Experienced with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

  • Hands-on experience with CRM, CDP, and marketing attribution tools.

  • Proven leadership track record — managing teams and driving cross-functional projects.

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in A/B testing and experimental design.

  • Excellent communicator — capable of translating complex analyses into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
