JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
Green Dot Corporation is seeking a Corporate Systems Engineer to support the business platform, which underpins critical enterprise services. This role focuses on a blend of technical administration and business analysis, with duties ranging from managing IT infrastructure, analyzing business needs, design, automation, managing projects from small initiatives to technology adoption / migrations, while ensuring the integrity and security of corporate systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Administrating and maintaining core IT infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
Supporting, configuring, and optimizing corporation applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and objectives.
Provide support to internal users for day-to-day operations and resolving system issues.
Translating business requirements to technical solutions, including business process analysis with objective towards solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness, including system automation, configuration management, and monitoring.
Participate in, or lead, projects from business requirement gathering to designing solutions to implement systems.
Staying current to technology trends and emerging technologies and recommending innovative solutions to contribute to the overall IT strategy.
Implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations to protect company data and systems.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives.
Technical Qualifications
5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure operations.
Expertise in Linux and Windows server administration.
Proficiency with public cloud platforms, preferably Azure, including cloud solutions and services such as IAM, data storage, and enterprise applications.
Experience in automating cloud infrastructure and management tasks using IaC tools (e.g. ARM templates, CLI and PowerShell, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.)
Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes), service mesh technologies, monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus), and logging frameworks (ELK, Fluentd).
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2).

PAY RANGE
The targeted base salary for this position is $67,600 to $101,400 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
