What you’d be doing in this role:

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Operations Analyst to join our Manila team. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining operational excellence, ensuring contractors are accurately onboarded, supported, and set up for success at Canva. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and help refine processes and systems to improve scale and efficiency. With a global mindset and a focus on data integrity, you'll be instrumental in ensuring that Canva’s Contingent Workforce program continues to grow effectively and compliantly.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Coordinate the entire contingent worker (CW) lifecycle – from onboarding to renewals and offboarding – ensuring alignment with Canva’s policies and workflows.

  • Keep our systems (Workday, Jira, Ironclad, Zip) up to date and accurate, ensuring compliance and seamless operations.

  • Be the go-to person for CW engagement, guiding contract creation, rate changes, and documentation.

  • Own workflow execution: triage inbound requests, process tickets, and manage CW mailboxes, Slack channels, and inboxes.

  • Support compliance processes including background checks, security training, and audit readiness.

  • Collaborate across Talent Acquisition, IT, Payroll, Spend Management, and Legal to deliver a seamless contractor experience.

  • Spot gaps, flag risks, and partner with the Ops Lead to continuously improve our processes and documentation.

  • Provide responsive, empathetic support to contractors across their engagement journey.

  • Generate and interpret reports that inform strategy and resource planning.

  • Keep our contractor knowledge base clear, current, and user-friendly.

  • Champion continuous improvement, partnering with global CW teams and stakeholders to drive smarter ways of working.

  • You’re a systems-savvy operator with experience in contingent workforce admin, HR operations, or vendor coordination.

  • You’ve worked with platforms like Workday, Jira, Zip, Ironclad (or similar tools) and can navigate them with ease.

  • You’re a clear and confident communicator – written, verbal, and everything in between.

  • You’re a proactive problem solver who loves turning challenges into opportunities for improvement.

  • You pick up new tools, tech, and ways of working quickly and with curiosity.

  • You bring sharp attention to detail and strong organisational skills – spotting data gaps, following up fast, and keeping things on track.

  • You’re energised by improving processes, closing loops, and making things smoother for everyone.

  • You’re familiar with compliance in the contractor space – onboarding docs, contracts, classification (bonus points if this is already in your wheelhouse).

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments, stay calm under pressure, and embrace evolving systems and workflows.

  • You’re collaborative, customer-focused, and deliver with speed, accuracy, and care – especially when working with sensitive data or multiple stakeholders.
