Apply for this position

Core to Figma’s success—and heart—is our community. As we scale into new geographies and audiences, we’re looking for a builder and connector who can create meaningful programs that inspire engagement, foster advocacy, and influence adoption. You’ll own flagship initiatives like hackathons, community recognition, and advocacy programs, while helping steward our community spaces. This is a high-impact role with a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution, designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, creativity, and community growth.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Design and lead hackathon and contest programs that drive product adoption and community engagement

  • Own and scale an advocacy program to empower and enable passionate users to champion Figma

  • Develop recognition and awards programs that spotlight community contributions and celebrate innovation

  • Partner cross-functionally with product marketing, developer marketing, brand, events, and the broader community team to integrate community programs into key launches and moments

  • Define, track, and report success metrics across growth, retention, advocacy, and adoption

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in community engagement, marketing, or related fields

  • Proven experience running community programs at scale (e.g., hackathons, awards, ambassador/advocacy programs)

  • Strong operations and program management background—you know how to build frameworks that scale

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with marketing, product, events, and brand teams

  • Familiarity with Figma (bonus if you’re already part of our community)

  • A strategic mentality with a hands-on approach; you’re comfortable switching between high-level planning and detailed execution

  • A passion for community building and a track record of creating engaging, meaningful experiences.

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
