What You Will Do:
Maintain a working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding regulations and principles, governmental regulations, official coding guidelines, and third-party requirements regarding documentation and coding for professional fee and surgical coding
Ensure reviewers meet quality review productivity standards:
Creates and/or oversees creation of facility client template set up for GuideAudit to ensure consistency in naming conventions and accuracy in client reporting.
Responsible for timely update and distribution of review team assignment spreadsheet as coder or reviewer assignments change, client contacts change and/or new client projects are added/changed
Responsible for final review of Client reports and distribution
Responsible for evaluations of QA Facility Team
Assist with management of the DHA QA Team
What You Will Need:
High school diploma or equivalent
US Citizen
Must hold one of the following credentials: (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CIC, COC)
Must maintain coding credential while employed by Guidehouse
5+ years of medical coding or review experience
1-2 years of experience mentoring and training other quality assurance reviewers
Demonstrates the ability to manage and lead a team
Abide by all client policies and procedures
Willingness to undergo a Background Check process
What Would Be Nice to Have:
Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills
High level of productivity
Advanced Coding Skills, ICD-10-CM and CPT
Strong knowledge of governmental regulations relating to coding
Strong working knowledge of Protected Health Information
The annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
