Cloud Network Manager
About the role:
The Network Engineering Manager will lead our cloud network engineering team and be responsible formanaging cloud-basednetwork infrastructure across the enterprise to ensure reliability, security and efficiency. The role involves working closely with different teams within the organization tounderstandtheir needsand implement best practices and strategies that align with our business goals.
You are goal-oriented, independent, motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, and act as an agent of change. You will act as an influencer, be pragmatic, able to function as a team mentor & player, handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment, and have the highest level of integrity & proven track record of success & leadership.
What you’lldo:
Oversee the design and management of cloud-based network infrastructure ensuring scalability, reliabilityand performance.
Cultivate a diverse, high-performing team that develops, recognizes and retains the best people and challenges them to advance their technical and engineering skills to meet the demands of rapidly evolving technologies
Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, delegating responsibilities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Participate in budget planning and management for network resources, evaluating new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, applying this knowledge to enhance organizational practices
Collaborate with CyberSecurity to implement necessary safeguards to protect the network from unauthorized access, threats and vulnerabilities.
Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize the network.
Develop stakeholder relationships, working with teams across the business to ensure upstream and downstream processes exist to support meeting SLAs and OLAs
Report regularly on network performance to technical and non-technical stakeholders as needed.
Continuous and effective performance management of the team
Drive deploymentto the network using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and regularly review code with team to optimize for efficiency.
What we'll want you to have:
10+ years of experience as anengineer with a strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols and services.
5+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role managing cloud network infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
Experience with infrastructure as code(IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities; Available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events
