Chief of Staff

These products empower payers and their partners to find timely insights and take action to intervene in areas like value-based care analytics, interoperability compliance, and real-time streaming of clinical data. In this remote position, the Chief of Staff will be a trusted strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring operational excellence, focus, and execution across the organization. In this healthcare technology startup, the Chief of Staff bridges business strategy, product innovation, and risk management enabling the company to scale successfully and deliver meaningful impact for customers. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong business acumen, communication skills, and the ability to bring clarity and structure to fast-moving priorities. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Execution
Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to define and drive annual company goals and growth strategy.
Align business and technology priorities to ensure cohesive execution.
Lead strategic projects, such as new market entry, partnerships, or funding initiatives.
Build playbooks, dashboards, and operating cadences to increase team alignment.
Operational Leadership
Serve as the connective tissue between departments (Finance, Product, Customer Success, Data, Engineering, Platform, and HR) to ensure alignment around company priorities and risks.
Manage meeting rhythms (executive syncs, board meetings, all-hands) and ensure that discussions turn into decisions and decisions turn into actions.
Design and optimize workflows to improve efficiency, transparency, and risk management.
Executive Communication & Investor Relations
Draft Executive communications, investor updates, board decks, and strategic memos.
Support fundraising and investor relations activities, including data room organization and due diligence.
Represent the SVP of Product and Customer Success and other leaders in meetings when appropriate and ensure follow-through on commitments.
Culture, People, & Performance
Partner with Talent Management to reinforce a values-driven, mission-aligned culture.
Support frameworks for leadership development, internal communication, and recognition.
Assist with hiring planning and resource allocation with strategic goals and budget.
Special Projects & Innovation
Manage cross-functional projects as needed, including marketing and brand positioning.
Support new and established strategic partnerships.
Lead research into emerging trends (AI in healthcare, interoperability, patient data privacy) and competitive intelligence to guide strategic decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or MHA) preferred.
7+ years of experience in operations, consulting, or strategy, ideally within healthcare or health tech.
Understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, OIG/SAM, CMS) and startup operations.
Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in digital health, SaaS, or technology-enabled care delivery.
Strong grasp of healthcare data, metrics, and analytics (claims, EHR, utilization).
High EQ and ability to influence without formal authority.
Bias toward action capable of shifting between strategic and tactical execution.
Passion for healthcare transformation and improving patient experience.
Benefits:
The Seattle base salary range for this full-time position is up to $165k. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, 16 days PTO, 8 paid holidays, fully paid holiday closure, parental and family medical leave, 401k, stock options and annual bonuses and salary increase based on merit.
