Business Intelligence Analyst for Global
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team on an independent contract basis for at least 6-12 months, with a focus on supporting our global business lines across Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience. You’ll dig into user behavior, campaign performance, and product engagement data across multiple international markets—translating complex business questions into clear, actionable insights and building scalable reporting solutions in tools like Tableau or ThoughtSpot.
***This is a 40-hour per week role and is fully remote, but applicants must reside in the US for consideration. Our Business Intelligence team enables data-driven decision-making across The Motley Fool's global operations. We partner with stakeholders to translate complex business questions into meaningful insights, build scalable reporting solutions, and drive strategic growth initiatives. Working across multiple international markets, we support Product, Marketing, and other functional teams with the analytics they need to optimize performance and enhance customer experiences.
What will you do in this role?
Partner with Global Product, Marketing, and other business teams to translate goals into data-driven analytical work-streams
Analyze user behavior, campaign performance, product usage, and engagement trends across multiple international markets
Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests to assess the impact of global initiatives
Deliver insights that inform product development, optimize marketing strategies, and enhance customer experience at scale
Build and maintain intuitive dashboards in Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or similar tools to support international business needs
Ensure clarity and consistency in metric definitions across global regions and business units
Create proactive, automated reporting to minimize ad hoc requests and improve access to core insights
Collaborate with BI, Data Engineering, and Governance teams to improve pipeline quality, data accessibility, and reporting scalability
Conduct exploratory analysis on customer cohorts, product engagement, and lifecycle behavior across regions
Support audience segmentation and targeting strategies tailored to different global markets
Identify emerging trends and surface new opportunities through exploratory analytics
What do you need to apply?
5+ years in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related data roles
Experience supporting business teams such as Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, or Sales, preferably in a global context or subscription marketing business.
Advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming large volumes of data including e-commerce, web engagement, and email data
Familiar with A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis techniques
Expert level report-building skills with BI tools such as Tableau and ThoughtSpot
Exposure to product and marketing analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Amplitude, ESPs, or ad platforms)
Excellent communication and data storytelling skills for non-technical stakeholder audiences
Collaborative, with a consultative mindset and the ability to influence without authority
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and curious, with a bias toward execution and continuous improvement
Nice to haves:
Familiarity or experience with financial services and/or subscription services
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related field
Python or R experience
Experience working in multinational organizations with diverse regional needs

Compensation:
Below is our target compensation range. While we are budget conscious, we’re also eager to find the right person for this role, so if your target is outside of this range, please don’t hesitate to apply and we’d be happy to have a conversation.
