Business Development Intern

Position Overview:
Bromberg & Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Development Intern to support the Business Development Department with market research, competitive analysis, and administrative project support. This role is research-focused and data-driven, with primary responsibilities centered on competitor analysis, contract and spend research, and internal documentation. The intern will gain exposure to B2B and public sector business development processes. This role reports to the Business Development Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct competitor research, including services offered, positioning, pricing structures, and market presence
Compile research findings into structured Excel spreadsheets for internal analysis and reporting
Research existing contracts, purchasing patterns, and historical spend across public and commercial clients
Analyze and organize contract-related data to support BD strategy and opportunity targeting
Review, organize, and maintain proposal templates and standard BD documentation
Assist in updating proposal templates to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current offerings
Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and summarize key requirements, deadlines, scope, and evaluation criteria
Support general business development administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data organization, filtering, formulas, comparative analysis, and reporting)
Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail
Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear summaries
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred:
Familiarity with business development or proposal-based environments
Experience working with pricing data, contracts, or financial information
Comfort working with structured data and internal documentation systems
Internship Program & Growth Opportunity:
This is a 6 to 12 months long internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in business development research and operations. High-performing interns may be considered for a full-time position at the end of the program, based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit.
