Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced insurance professional to join the Vendor Relationships & Solutions team in the role of Assistant Director in Personal Lines Auto Product. In this role you will be responsible for advancing third-party data strategy, focusing on deploying and optimizing use of third-party data solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. The ideal candidate has experience in vendor management practices as well as a working knowledge of third-party data used in the management of auto insurance products.

**This role may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.**

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Build strong relationships with vendor partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration for high-quality service and support

  • Develop and build deep knowledge of third-party data, acting as a subject-matter expert

  • Recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of current portfolio of solutions, and drive sophistication in use of third-party data products

  • Identify potential vendors, conduct research, evaluate capabilities, and make recommendations for vendor selection to meet business needs

  • Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to incorporate feedback and business need requests into third-party data strategy and roadmap, as well as escalate issues and concerns to vendors in a timely manner

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of Personal Lines auto insurance products and third-party data solutions

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Experience with procurement processes and contract management

  • Strong understanding of vendor management principles and practices

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, SQL, Snowflake)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field

  • Minimum 6 years, typically 8 years or more of relevant work experience

  • Master's degree beneficial

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (eg, SAS, Access)

  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills

  • Experience managing projects preferred
