Assistant Director - Vendor Solutions
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced insurance professional to join the Vendor Relationships & Solutions team in the role of Assistant Director in Personal Lines Auto Product. In this role you will be responsible for advancing third-party data strategy, focusing on deploying and optimizing use of third-party data solutions to achieve desired business outcomes. The ideal candidate has experience in vendor management practices as well as a working knowledge of third-party data used in the management of auto insurance products.
**This role may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.**
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Build strong relationships with vendor partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration for high-quality service and support
Develop and build deep knowledge of third-party data, acting as a subject-matter expert
Recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of current portfolio of solutions, and drive sophistication in use of third-party data products
Identify potential vendors, conduct research, evaluate capabilities, and make recommendations for vendor selection to meet business needs
Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to incorporate feedback and business need requests into third-party data strategy and roadmap, as well as escalate issues and concerns to vendors in a timely manner
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of Personal Lines auto insurance products and third-party data solutions
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Experience with procurement processes and contract management
Strong understanding of vendor management principles and practices
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, SQL, Snowflake)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field
Minimum 6 years, typically 8 years or more of relevant work experience
Master's degree beneficial
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (eg, SAS, Access)
Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills
Experience managing projects preferred
