Location: Remote Department: Finance & Accounting Reports To: Director of Operations
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting financial reporting, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with budget and forecast preparation. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting and analytical skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys turning data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial statements.
Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and accruals.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
Develop and maintain financial models and reports for management review.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
Perform basic accounting tasks in AP, AR, Collections etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/accounting software
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
