Accounting Intern (Summer 2026)
Role Summary

In this role, you’ll learn how a modern, global finance team operates, gain hands-on accounting experience, and collaborate with teammates who are committed to helping you grow. You’ll work on meaningful projects that connect directly to our business and our customers.
What You’ll Do
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities through journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
Take ownership of recurring accounting tasks that boost team productivity and free up capacity for strategic, high-priority work.
Assist with financial reporting and ensure accuracy across core accounting systems.
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data, resolve questions, and support operational workflows. Contribute to ad hoc projects that enhance processes, documentation, and internal controls. Analyze transactions and trends to support audits and internal reviews.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
Interest in accounting, finance, or a related field through coursework or equivalent experience.
Able to commit to a full-time, 40-hour/week internship from June to August 2026 (and continue internship part-time from September 2026 to May 2027)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Curiosity, a willingness to learn, and comfort asking questions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with spreadsheets or basic financial tools.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Familiarity with accounting principles or financial systems.
Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for analysis.
Prior internship or project work in finance, accounting, or operations.

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are tailored to your skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
