VP - Corporate Development
Job Description:
The Vice President of Corporate Development will be responsible for leading the company’s inorganic growth strategy, including mergers and acquisitions, and corporate strategy initiatives. This executive will report to the CEO, working closely with the Executive Leadership Team and the Board on an M&A strategy that enables a 15x or greater in value creation for our shareholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Strategy
Build a market sensing and intelligence capability to
Establish a strategic/competitive chessboard with close partnership with Product/R&D
Partner with leadership/BC/GHP to create the Corporate M&A strategy with clear Buy/Build/Partner framework
M&A and Strategic Investments
Source, evaluate, and lead M&A
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and strategic adjacencies
Oversee financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation
Manage internal deal teams and external advisors (bankers, lawyers, consultants)
M&A Integration
Develop integration plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Monitor/Manage the overall M&A integration efforts to ensure value realization
Executive & Board Engagement
Prepare materials and drive executive and board-level strategy discussions
Communicate complex opportunities with clarity and confidence
Represent the company in external discussions with potential M&As and investors
Required Competencies:
Deep technical and business acumen in the areas of Data, Analytics, and AI
Strong business intelligence skills and engagement with market analysts
Proven experience in corporate development, private equity, or management consulting
Proven experience sourcing, leading, and closing M&A deals
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and executive presence
Global deal experience and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership and project management
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
