Video Producer
About the Role
As a Video Producer on our Content Team, you’ll publish videos that make our company look good, bring clarity to complex topics, and maybe even spark a chuckle or two along the way. Your work will help us deliver a consistent, engaging experience anywhere a customer might want to watch a video, from launch campaigns to support docs, TikToks to testimonials.
Our growing Content Team has a healthy appreciation for storytelling, education, and “light business humor”. In a sea of repetitive talking-head videos, endless product animations, and stock (or even AI-generated) transitions, we strive to bring purpose and joy to every frame. We’re here to help OpenPhone hit and exceed its Q2 KPIs, boost SQLs, and take on every business acronym you can throw at us, while making sure both we and our users have a little fun in the process.
You’ll ideally have experience with the nitty-gritty of editing, the many moving parts of orchestrating small teams for bigger shoots, and the writing and editing required to create the scripts we’ll need to make these videos.
Some of the things you will do:
Help evolve and expand our video style to ensure it best represents the OpenPhone brand
Wield storytelling and human-centered thinking to help users understand, love, and use our product
Produce content that works across many different marketing and product channels, including customer stories, product explainers, onboarding videos, social clips, and launch videos.
Collaborate with the Head of Content to ensure we’re creating video content that will help us achieve the goals we’ve set each and every quarter (remember the acronyms above?)
Partner closely with writers, designers, product, customer success, engineering, and virtually everyone else to bring the people behind OpenPhone to the forefront.
About you:
You’ve built an exceptional portfolio of work: product explainers, ads, trailers, and even fun side projects.
You have 5+ years working in video production, ideally within a fast-paced in-house team or agency.
You’ve got a sharp eye for pacing, storytelling, and knowing exactly where to shave those last five seconds so the edit is just right and everything clicks.
You’ve got a knack for project management. You won’t be making videos on an island; other employees, contractors, and crews will often be involved and will need your guidance.
You’re experienced with editing software like FCP, Premiere, and/or ScreenFlow. You don’t need to be familiar with all of them, just good with your own preferred suite of editing tools.
You have some level of experience with animation or motion design tools, though you do not need to be an expert here.
You’ll get bonus points for having at least some experience working with SaaS tech companies in the past
Compensation
