Vice President, Operations | Digital Custody

Role:

We are seeking a Vice President of Operations to join our Senior Management Team. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing Asset Reality’s state-of-the-art digital asset management, custody, and liquidation offering, while also playing a vital role in client-facing initiatives and our overall growth strategy. The ideal candidate will possess relevant financial services experience and collaborate closely with all areas of the business, including business development, sales, customer success, legal, and technology.

Responsibilities:

This role encompasses both internal and external engagement:

Internal Engagement:

• Lead the execution of our custody solution, assembling the appropriate teams and individuals to drive our custody operations.

• Act as a liaison between business functions to ensure alignment with the broader vision and individual objectives.

• Oversee the successful delivery of our digital asset custody offering.

• Organise and determine roles, on-call schedules for liquidations, and meet internal SLAs for our custody solution. 

External Engagement:

• Support sales, marketing, and business development efforts by serving as a critical point of contact to speak on our digital asset offering.

• Assist in drafting responses to Requests for Information/Proposals, demonstrating how our solutions meet client needs and comply with security, compliance, legal, and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Gather feedback from internal teams, clients, and networks, and analyze data to inform product development decisions.

• Build and maintain key relationships internally and externally.

• Ensure alignment of features and enhancements across teams to meet client needs while upholding the Asset Reality brand and values.

What will the first 90 days look like? 

• Initially, this position involves organizing and defining roles with our partners, coordinating on-call schedules for liquidations, and setting internal SLAs for liquidation processes. As the team expands, the emphasis will transition to other essential duties specified in the job description, facilitating task delegation and team management.

Requirements:

• Remote-first company, with preference for candidates near key US or UK hubs (Washington DC / London).

• Fluency in English, additional languages a plus.

• Experience in executing at a mature digital custodian or financial services business.

• Worked within a regulated and compliant business, someone who knows how to deliver custody.

• Experience in the early stages of building out digital asset custody, management, and liquidation platforms.

• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with data analytics tools (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau) and Microsoft Office suite.
