About This Role:

The Vice President of Ethics is iRhythm’s Compliance and Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for providing leadership and strategic oversight to iRhythm’s compliance and ethics program, privacy, and information governance. This position is responsible for reporting on the company’s compliance performance, culture of ethics, and enterprise risks to the executive management team and the board of directors and supports the alignment of enterprise policies and practices to the applicable compliance strategies.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Establish and implement effective enterprise compliance and ethics program as well as data privacy program based on industry standards (e.g., AdvaMed Code) and respective federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

  • Oversee the development and execution of policies and procedures as well as effective communication and training strategies that promote awareness and understanding of compliance and ethics principles, as well as privacy principles consistent with the mission, vision, and core values of iRhythm and required regulations.

  • Provide oversight of preventative and corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks and potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and ensure consistent practices with evaluations, investigations, resolutions, and disciplinary practices; coordinate with legal counsel regarding escalated concerns, inquiries, and investigations.

  • Establish and oversee appropriate monitoring and reporting on the company’s compliance and ethics efforts as well as the privacy program to measure the overall effectiveness of iRhythm’s respective programs; develop a reporting and communication cadence to the Board of Directors/Committees, executive leaders, and employees.

  • Serve as the management lead for the Compliance section for the Nominating & Governing Committee of the board; effectively present, influence, and facilitate discussion and decisions related to compliance and ethics.

  • Serve as a strategic business partner and compliance subject matter expert to collaboratively and creatively influence outcomes, consult on compliance best practices, create awareness and support for risk management strategies and solutions, and solve for compliance-related business challenges.

  • Provide leadership to the corporate compliance, regulated market compliance, privacy, client audit management, compliance assessment, and accreditation functions; manage department budget, staffing, engagement, performance, and development, and consistently demonstrate iRhythm’s leadership expectations.

  • Establish and maintain consultative partnerships with senior and executive leadership to create a culture of compliance and ethics and to be a resource for leadership and the board of directors

  • Serve on Steering Committees related to Strategic Growth pillars and dynamically guide compliance and privacy requirements, set forth policies and work plans based on the current risk landscape.

  • Conduct a holistic and periodic risk assessment to inform and drive the compliance and ethics program and privacy program, including developing policies, conducting training, and performing audit & monitoring.

What We Need To See

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 15 years of work experience in progressive business management leadership of compliance functions for a managed care and/or healthcare services company

  • 10 years of progressive leadership/people management experience

  • Proven change agent with the ability to effectively influence the actions and opinions of others at all levels of the organization, including executive management; effectively and respectfully challenge the status quo and drive change

  • Excellent presentation (both preparation of materials plus executive presence), writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with an ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through clear and concise messaging

  • Experience in managing compliance governance activities, including the coordination of committees and the preparation of Board-level materials

  • Proven experience inspiring cross-functional teams to meet business objectives with outstanding results

  • Understands business strategies and formulates concise solutions to complex problems for operational improvements

  • Strategic thinking and long-range planning skills with the ability to design, execute, and link multiple projects over time to achieve a future strategic goal

  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts or situations into concise and compelling communications

  • Ability to establish trust and credibility and effectively influence at all levels within an organization

Ways to Stand Out

  • Healthcare company experience

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline (JD, MBA, MHA, etc.)

Reporting Structure

  • This position reports to the Chief Risk Officer with direct lines of communication to the CEO Nom Gov Committee, and Board of Directors.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

Estimated Pay Range

$246,000.00 - $320,000.00
