Trainee - Intelligence Solutions
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Trainee on the Intelligence Solutions team at Everstream Analytics, you will support analysts with cross-functional tasks that help build sustainable supply chain operations. You’ll apply your curiosity and interest in world affairs to support risk intelligence operations which enable our customers to make sense of supply chain risks their businesses are exposed to.
In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to receive hands-on training from industry experts, collaborate within a market-leading data and AI company, and work alongside some of the world’s top enterprises. You’ll be directly involved in real-time global economics and affairs, gaining invaluable insights and building skills that will help shape the future of supply chain risk intelligence.
This is a short-term, part-time, remote or full-time position. The duration of the role may vary based on project needs, offering flexibility while ensuring impactful contributions to the team.
Primary Responsibilities
Monitor current global affairs to detect events, such as industrial fires, geopolitical crises, natural disasters, labor strikes, customs issues, port congestions, cargo disruptions, etc. that can impact supply chain resiliency.
Analyze incoming data streams for relevancy and impact, and report time-sensitive risk alerts for clients based on information obtained from open-source articles, and exclusive and proprietary sources.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or any other Social Sciences preferred.
Candidates in pursuit of a degree are encouraged to apply.
Previous work experiences like internships in journalism, international affairs, or intelligence monitoring are highly desirable.
English: Proficient, both oral and written.
Proficiency in other languages is a strong asset (East Asian Languages highly preferred).
Passion for current affairs and news, with knowledge of socioeconomic & political dynamics and a basic understanding of supply chain processes.
Ability to act in a global environment, with good interpersonal skills and understanding of cultural differences and behaviors.
Ability to work in a fluid and fast paced environment and manage uncertainty.
