The Technology Manager – Salesforce at GuidePoint Security will work on the cutting edge of Information Technology and Information Security. This position is for a self-driven technology fanatic who consistently tinkers, tweaks, learns and improves. Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Development: Formulate and articulate a clear vision and strategy for Salesforce, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives and objectives.
System Oversight: Manage the implementation, documentation, customization, and ongoing maintenance of the Salesforce platform to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Product Roadmap Management: Curate and uphold adherence to the product roadmap, maximizing the value and efficiency of platforms.
Technology and Process Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and business processes to guarantee that platforms remain reliable, scalable, and cutting-edge.
Technical Proficiency: Maintain an in depth understanding of the systems that support the sales and professional service operations.
Team Leadership: Direct delivery teams with a focus on maximizing business value, fostering collaboration, and simplifying design processes.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain transparent communication with management and stakeholders regarding progress, expectations, and any arising issues.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance collaboration, drive innovation, and ensure effective communication.
Team Motivation and Development: Inspire and lead the team, encouraging professional growth and continuous improvement.
Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with IT policies and best practices in design, operation, security, and installation.
Expert Consultation: Seek expert advice from peers, partners, and industry experts when necessary.
Team Management: Oversee recruitment, development, and retention of the Salesforce team, including vendor management.
Support and Escalation: Provide after-hours and escalation support as required.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong client-facing written and verbal communication skills.
Process Optimization: Experience in documenting, standardizing, and optimizing business processes, with a focus on sales and professional services.
Platform Knowledge: Proficiency in Salesforce and the other sales and professional services platforms in that ecosystem such as Certinia.
Documentation Skills: Ability to read, write, and interpret functional documentation and procedure manuals.
Project Management: Proven experience in project management and system implementation.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and modern user interface (UI) tools and technologies.
Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated and directed, with a strong attention to detail.
Application Management: Knowledge of managing applications in a secure, structured, and growth-oriented environment.
International Experience: Experience in implementing and leveraging Salesforce internationally is advantageous.
Educational & Professional Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience as manager and owner of Salesforce and adjacent technologies setting strategy and roadmap.
7+ years of experience managing high functioning teams of 5-20 inclusive of internal and external resources.
Salesforce certifications are a plus
5+ years working with middleware applications to facilitate automation
Previous sales or professional service experience a plus, but not mandatory
Travel & Office Location
Approximately 10% out-of-town travel to regional offices and/or data centers
Work remotely or at the regional office when not traveling
