About the Role:

This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to lead a transformation. As the Product Manager for our Internal Developer Platform, you will be at the heart of TrueML's engineering evolution through your product leadership of our DevOps, Platform Services, InfoSec, and IT teams. This high-visibility role reports directly to the Sr. Product Director and offers the chance to collaborate closely with our Product & Technology leadership team to shape the future of how our engineers work.

You will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for our internal developer platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our engineering organization and drives increased developer productivity, efficiency, and innovation. You will achieve this by providing holistic experiences for building and managing software through the entire lifecycle of development, delivery, operations, and maintenance.

Imagine spearheading initiatives that will empower our Product & Technology teams to reach new heights. You'll be instrumental in:

Driving Developer Productivity: Streamlining workflows, automating processes, and implementing cutting-edge tools to accelerate development cycles.

Championing Engineering Excellence: Elevating code quality, reliability, and security through robust platform solutions and best practices.  

Fostering Innovation: Creating an environment where engineers can experiment, innovate, and leverage the latest technologies, including AI, to build world-class products.

Impacting Engineer Happiness: Building a platform that not only enhances efficiency but also fosters a positive and fulfilling developer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for TrueML's internal developer platform, aligned with the company's overall strategic goals.

  • Conduct user research and gather feedback from engineering teams to understand their needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, making data-driven decisions to ensure the platform delivers maximum value to engineering teams.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering leaders, architects, and developers to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure, reliable, and user-friendly platform solutions.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of DevOps tools and processes to streamline software development, testing, and deployment.

  • Enhance and maintain our platform services to provide essential infrastructure capabilities such as cloud computing, data storage, and networking.

  • Work closely with the InfoSec team to ensure the platform meets the highest security standards and complies with relevant regulations.

  • Manage IT team projects to provide efficient and effective internal technology support and solutions.

  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to measure the success of the developer platform and identify areas for optimization.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, providing regular updates on the platform's progress and roadmap.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in developer platforms, DevOps, and related technologies.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably with a focus on developer platforms, DevOps, or infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, DevOps principles, cloud computing technologies, and information security best practices.

  • Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).

  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g. PCI, ISO, etc.)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Passion for empowering developers and improving their productivity.

Employment Terms

  • This role is intended to be a 6-month contract (approximately), with the possibility of a permanent full-time position depending on business needs at the end of the contract term

$98,869 - $145,917 a year

Compensation Disclosure: This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
