Technical Lead II

At HubSpot, the Design Language Systems group builds the foundation of our product experience. This includes patterns, best practices, components, and tools. We are starting a multi-year effort to modernize how our product looks and feels, and we are looking for a Technical Lead to help drive that transformation.
The Trellis Embed Team works with hundreds of frontend teams at HubSpot as they migrate to a new component library. Later this year, our focus will shift from migration to creating a more cohesive product. We’ll focus on the journeys, flows, and templates that shape the user experience.
This is an internal-facing role with a unique opportunity to mentor at scale and help shape the future of HubSpot's user interface.
We’re looking for:
A strong senior engineer with experience leading small, autonomous teams
Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has experience working closely with design
Experience with frontend design systems at scale is preferred
Experience setting up tooling at scale is a plus
Someone who prefers solving problems with technology rather than process
Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and evaluate trade-offs while keeping the developer experience in mind
Someone who can see opportunities beyond current practices and help shape a long-term vision for where we’re headed

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
