ClassDojo's goal is to give every child on Earth an education they love.

We started by building a powerful network for communication. ClassDojo’s flagship app is the #1 communication app connecting K-12 teachers, children, and families globally. Teachers use it to share what’s happening throughout the day through photos, videos, and messages that make parents feel like they’re there. It’s actively used in over 95% of US schools, reaching over 45 million children in 180 countries, with a team of just around 200 people [1]. We are now beginning to use this network to give kids the best learning experiences in the world, far beyond those a standard school can provide.

We hire for talent density. Our team comprises the most talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative teammates from around the world, with experience in education and large scale consumer internet companies, including Instagram, Netflix, Dropbox, Stripe, Uber, Y Combinator, and more. We’re building a company where the most talented people want to work. We believe you’ll do the best work of your life here—and you’ll pioneer the future of education, too.

What you’ll do:

As a Technical Implementation Strategist, you support the most technical and complex parts of district-wide roll-outs of ClassDojo. During our busiest season to prepare for back-to-school, you’ll help ensure that ClassDojo has complete and accurate data integrations with districts, making it easy for teachers and school leaders to set up ClassDojo for their communities.

You balance a high degree of technical expertise with SIS integrations and data quality with a strong focus on documentation, sticking to timelines, and communicating effectively with customers and internal stakeholders. You love to roll up your sleeves and problem-solve complex data and platform issues, but you also enjoy finding broader efficiencies and systematic approaches to scaling processes.

You’ll work with our district partners who have the largest bulk of onboardings and roll-outs before the start of the new school year (~August). You’re comfortable managing concurrent implementation timelines during a short span of time (April-September).

This role is highly cross-functional. You’ll be part of a broader team of technical implementation specialists and you’ll work closely with a District Onboarding Manager who oversees the broader onboarding project plan and District Partnerships Manager who oversees the stakeholder relationships and account strategy. You will also partner with the Product Management, Engineering, and Success and Implementation while interacting with district IT partners throughout the implementation process to ensure a successful roll-out of ClassDojo.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with district IT teams from start to finish to ensure that from initial set-up to rollout, teachers and school leaders can seamlessly set up their school in ClassDojo

  • Review data from districts and ensure it matches the needs and formatting of end customers.

  • Work with district IT stakeholders to investigate and correct any issues in the data received

  • Deeply understand the relationship between technical implementation and product and user implications

  • Collaborate closely with the district account team, district IT, engineering, and product management, proactively sharing project status, elevating risks, and proposing solutions

  • Maintain excellent documentation and update project status for internal team members across multiple implementation projects and timelines.

  • Work with the broader success and implementation team to proactively build and iterate on efficient systems and processes.

  • Help build, maintain, and execute a strong quality assurance processes

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in K-12 SIS integrations (API, Plug-ins, SFTP, etc.)

  • Proven experience in data cleaning and quality checking, foundational experience with SQL.

  • Proven ability to independently manage a high volume of projects on tight deadlines with a high level of organization and accuracy

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working on cross functional projects with multiple internal stakeholders

  • High empathy and emotional intelligence working with busy district IT team members and leaders.

  • Experience in edtech or working on products for kids or educators

  • Ability to learn new technology and products quickly

  • Familiarity with using organization tools such as: Asana, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Google Sheets/Excel, Notion

Bonus experience:

  • Experience working with EdLink, ClassLink, or Clever
