IT @ Trafilea: IT professionals work on modern tech stack and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performance, scalable e-commerce platforms that drive the growth of the company's portfolio of brands. They work on projects ranging from designing ReactJS components in our library to complex AI models at the core of our applications and integrations The mission of the Data & Analytics Director is to define and lead Trafilea’s data strategy, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and accessibility across the organization. This role will oversee data science, data engineering, and business intelligence teams to enable data-driven decision-making. By aligning initiatives with business objectives, the Director will foster innovation, scalability, and a culture of using insights to drive performance.
Key responsabilities:
Data Strategy & Governance
Lead the development and execution of Trafilea’s data strategy.
Ensure compliance with global data privacy and security standards.
Team Leadership
Manage and scale high-performing teams across data science, engineering, and BI.
Promote a culture of knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and innovation.
Data Infrastructure & Systems
Ensure data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems deliver accuracy and scalability.
Drive adoption of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for modernized infrastructure.
Business Alignment
Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance to ensure data initiatives support business goals.
Deliver dashboards, models, and reports that connect operational performance with strategic outcomes.
Innovation & Trends
Stay at the forefront of new technologies and methodologies in data science and analytics.
Apply advanced analytics and AI to unlock growth opportunities.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
Experience:
Extensive experience in data leadership, ideally in high-growth or e-commerce environments.
Proven success in building and managing data science, engineering, and BI teams.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in SQL, Python, R, and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Deep knowledge of advanced analytics, ML pipelines, and data governance.
Leadership Skills:
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Excellent communicator, able to simplify complexity for business audiences.
Visionary leader with a balance of strategic thinking and execution focus.
