At iRhythm, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills and your career while impacting the lives of people around the world. iRhythm is shaping a future where everyone, everywhere can access the best possible cardiac health solutions. Every day, we collaborate, create, and constantly reimagine what’s possible. We think big and move fast, driven by our commitment to put patients first and improve lives. We need builders like you. Curious and innovative problem solvers looking for the chance to meaningfully shape the future of cardiac health, our company, and your career

About This Role:

iRhythm is currently seeking an experienced software executive to join us as a Senior Vice President of Systems Development. This position can be remote, given the team’s geographic diversity.  We’re seeking a strong, culture-focused and collaboration-oriented leader to direct the team developing a wide variety of software technologies, ranging from industry-leading AI algorithms to responsive mobile and web applications, also including scalable infrastructure tools supporting healthcare information workflows. True to our origins, we are passionate about delivering innovations that address unmet needs in health care and the patient experience. This role is a key enabler of this vision.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead and mentor the talented directors and managers of the Systems Development team, providing strategic direction on the development of our algorithm, software, and system portfolio with a focus on quality assurance and regulatory compliance

  • Oversee management of iRhythm’s software design efforts, from initial concept through production release, coordinating with internal partners and customers to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations.

  • Partner with our clinical and research teams to set vision for our data strategy, championing the path to leverage our data asset to create clinical insights through a coordinated plan of industry, research, and academic partnerships and clinical studies, aligned with internal data science initiatives in order to continually differentiate the Zio Service

  • Partner with quality resources to ensure conformance to – and continuous improvement of – the company's quality system, operating procedures, and design documentation requirements

  • Coordinate with regulatory resources on the development of regulatory submissions and strategically thoughtful responses to regulators’ questions

  • Develop and oversee the functional leaders and their team members to bring products in on time, on budget, and of the highest quality achievable under the first two constraints

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and evolve the software roadmap, and balance resources across a complex portfolio to ensure timely delivery

  • Leverage leadership and business acumen to develop, communicate, and drive team performance to enable the delivery of corporate goals

  • Plan and implement major infrastructure investments required to support growing operations

  • Drive staffing plans, team communication, and major budget decisions across Systems Development

  • Contribute to company strategy and goal development as a member of the senior leadership team

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 15 years’ experience in positions of progressively increasing responsibility around medical software development, with a demonstrated track record of success in leading teams to achieve impact

  • A BS/BA degree in engineering is required; an advanced degree in a technical or management field is strongly desired

  • Technical fluency in domains of AI, cloud computing, mobile apps, web applications, cybersecurity, and EHR integration with demonstrated ability to understand the details behind related software implementations

  • Demonstrated success in building the culture of a team and mentoring employee development at all levels

  • Easily build trust with team members and cross-functional partners, leveraging a low self-orientation

  • Excellent strategic and critical thinker, with solid business acumen and strong leadership presence

  • Experience in developing and deploying software in a global environment

  • Solid project management skills, manifest in the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and timelines

Ways To Stand Out

  • A goal-oriented, hands-on individual who operates with a sense of urgency and is comfortable using reasoned judgment to balance risk

  • Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including visual storytelling

  • Have a clear desire to succeed and be effective working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, while exhibiting the highest standards of quality, ethics and integrity
