Atlassian is seeking a Strategy and Business Operations (SBO) Principal who will support the company’s GTM leadership. You will be responsible for designing and activating GTM strategies with cross-functional teams. While you will work on wide-ranging topics, you will focus on partnering with our Marketing leaders to define the next horizon of our Marketing engine, which is foundational to both our world-class flywheel and ongoing enterprise transformation.

At Atlassian, the Strategy & Business Operations team is a high-impact team that works closely with business leaders across the company. You’ll own strategic projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the strategies you develop are creative and offer high-quality and needle-moving recommendations. You’ll identify key market trends, insights, and best practices to create new opportunities for customer and revenue growth. You'll drive improvements in business operations, helping the GTM team successfully scale with efficiency and increasing visibility and accountability around the business metrics that matter.

You will be successful if you bring strong B2B SaaS GTM experience, including Marketing subject matter expertise. You will be a good fit if you are driven, have excellent business acumen, demonstrate outstanding communication skills, and are able to collaborate with and influence others in all functions and levels in the organization.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Drive important strategies and business cases for GTM, with a focus on Marketing

  • Work with GTM leadership to increase Atlassian’s TAM and market share, including through investments in new geographies and industries

  • Define how Atlassian’s Marketing should support an expanding product portfolio (from both organic innovation and M&A)

  • Pitch creative, new ideas to evolve our Marketing efforts

  • Create improvements in business operations, as the GTM team continues to scale with a high bar of efficiency

  • Orchestrate alignment between GTM and Product teams to deliver the greatest value for customers

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Extensive experience in corporate strategy, business operations, consulting, investment banking, or equivalent field (competitive candidates typically have 7+ years of relevant experience)

  • Deep knowledge of B2B SaaS/software across both product-led growth and enterprise models

  • Expertise in go-to-market and Marketing domains, including, but not limited to, customer funnel, marketing channels, field marketing, and customer segmentation

  • Top-notch problem-solving and analytical capabilities

  • Executive presence, including experience and comfort with presenting to senior stakeholders

  • Ability to build strong relationships, influence others, and work as a team

  • Ownership mentality and intellectual curiosity

  • Clear, concise, and effective verbal & written communications skills

It's great, but not required, to have:

  • Experience in high growth tech companies

  • Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)

  • Basic SQL skills

$147,100 - $236,400 a year

Compensation

At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location.

Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $177,300 - $236,400

Zone B: $159,600 - $212,700

Zone C: $147,100 - $196,200

Within each range, base pay is determined based on your depth of experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
