Fintech Staff Business Systems Analysts are responsible for managing the internally-built and third-party financial systems we use to run our business. Our portfolio includes billing, subscription management, finance & accounting, payment processing systems, and more. In this role you will work on a dedicated team responsible for solving mission critical business problems tied to how HubSpot recognizes revenue. You will collaborate with engineers and internal business partners to implement a new revenue recognition system, ensuring that HubSpot continues to scale as it introduces more complex pricing strategies. In order to be successful, you will need to be able to combine business process knowledge with deep technical understanding of related systems and software to help identify and implement scalable solutions.  

Business Systems Analysts at HubSpot have a few things in common: they have an eye for scale with previous success in implementing scalable products / systems along cross-functional teams, they partner with operations teams and other business partners to understand pain points and areas of opportunity, and thrive in an ever-evolving, fast-paced landscape.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Become a subject matter expert on revenue recognition at HubSpot, working directly with Finance & Accounting to understand existing policies and help influence how they can evolve as the company scales

  • Create and execute on a vision for our revenue recognition platform; you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the revenue recognition third party, in addition to leading a team of engineers to build necessary integrations to/from the platform 

  • Relentlessly focus on quality and impact - quality of data, performance, and user experience

  • Use data to influence change and highlight problems to solve that have clear alignment with overall company goals

  • Work under pressure - it comes with the territory when you’re in the middle of every major strategic initiative we have

What we are looking for:

  • Experience implementing third party revenue recognition systems (e.g. Aptitude, BillingPlatform, RevPro, Maxio, RightRev) for B2B SaaS companies with usage based billing

  • Experience with financial systems, specifically billing systems and ERPs for general ledgers

  • Background/Qualifications in Finance or Computer Science

  • Experience working directly with software teams and managing complex integrations

  • Strong communication and organizational skills to be able to work with a variety of stakeholders

  • Experience with data analysis. SQL / Looker experience is a plus.

  • You are adaptable and have demonstrated pivoting your role, strategy, or perspective based on new information or business needs

  • Empathy for our customers and end-users

  • Strong technical acumen. Do you enjoy digging into systems to understand and troubleshoot problems?

  • Demonstrated proficiency at navigating ambiguity

Cash compensation range: 138500-221600 USD Annually This resource will help guide how we recommend thinking about the range you see. Learn more about HubSpot’s compensation philosophy. The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
