About the job
The Staff Accountant role will play a critical part in the day-to-day general accounting operations, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Additionally, the position will support revenue accounting processes and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including ASC 606.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Participate in the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with revenue recognition procedures, including reviewing contracts and deferral schedules under ASC 606
Support preparation of monthly financial reports for various partners
Assist in internal and external audits requests
Help improve and document accounting processes and controls
Qualifications

*Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Finance/Accounting related function
Proficient working knowledge of GAAP and operational month-end close processes
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Advanced Excel skills, including complex functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Desired:
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or CPA certification
3+ years in public accounting or experience working at a fast growing company
Experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems
Experience with Zuora and/or Zuora Revenue
Location
This role will be remote, and based in India.
Travel
