Sr. Staff Rust Engineer (AI)

*Candidate Note: This position is 100% remote for candidates based in Brazil**

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Staff AI Engineer with significant Rust experience and a strong working knowledge of Postgres. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate self-starting skill sets alongside a proven track record of delivery in a complex Cloud and/or on-prem environment.

What your impact will be: 

• You will own delivery for key aspects of the EDB Data & AI capability.

• You carry responsibility for designing engineering solutions to defined Customer Use Cases in the AI and Analytics space.

What you will bring:

• 5-8yrs+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or a Software Engineer.

• 2-3+yrs Rust development experience required.

• Other experience with Python, GoLang, JavaScript, Bash or PowerShell, etc.

• Experience with Postgres is a must!

• You feel at home with different types and formats of data, 

• Understanding of Kubernetes monitoring and environments.

• Experience modeling and benchmarking Analytics workloads

• Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Docker and Jira.

• You are comfortable working in remote team setups.

What will give you an edge: 

• Experience building/using Analytics, Machine Learning and AI Libraries (particularly Apache DataFusion and Apache Spark) to deliver business value (Analyzing data and building visualizations)

• Applied knowledge and/or experience establishing customer requirements, and turning that into delivered capability.

• Experience with DBRE or DBA practices.

Comp Range: 400k-600k BRL (DOE) + annual variable bonus
