Sr. Software Engineer - Accounts
Summary
The Accounts squad is responsible for core information to many of the features at Pismo. The team focuses on providing high volume, low latency data to internal and external customers to support operations.
What you'll do
Ensure that the systems you participate in or develop can scale indefinitely and do not have any integrity problems;
Guarantee that the staff engineering guidelines and standards are being applied to the current systems;
Help other software engineers in any implementation;
Identify possible flaws that are present in the current system that were not yet discovered by the teams;
Often participate in implementations that are cross-squad;
Lead architectural system designs on the most complex systems;
Understand the context of multiple different work streams, and offer effective technical advice and support for those workstreams while still maintaining excellent velocity;
Demonstrate high product awareness for areas of the business you are working with.
Understand the importance of product-market fit and work closely with product leadership to ensure we’re making the right decisions across one or more squads;
Regularly challenges their team or area to have a greater sense of urgency for company priorities.
Step up to lead when required;
Able to proactively propose strategy for engineering within your Collective/Discipline, and know how to effectively get buy-in and move this forward;
Minimum Qualifications
Language Skills:
B2 English or above for conversation (Upper-Intermediate)
Technical Skills:
Experience with Backend Languages, such as Java and Golang;
Cloud knowledge;
Experience with Event-driven architecture, Distributed race condition and Distributed Transactions
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with Observability/metrics;
OpenAPI experience;
Experience with Load Testing;
Terraform and DevOps knowledge;
Financial Experience;
