You’ll collaborate with brilliant people, use the latest tools, and leverage the flexibility of remote work. Your work will directly fuel our customers’ success, and as they grow, so will you.

Hi There!

At Zapier, we're on a mission to make automation work for everyone. That means building products that empower people to do more with less and designing systems that scale as our users grow. The Agent Platform team is at the forefront of this vision: we're bringing the power of Zapier's 8,000+ app integrations to third-party AI agents, using MCP and other novel technologies. AI agents are redefining how work gets done, and we're building the infrastructure that lets them seamlessly connect to a user’s entire tool stack.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and implement our Zapier MCP product strategy. This role sits at the critical intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and enterprise-level orchestration. You'll work directly with technical customers, shape our product roadmap, and ensure we're building solutions that are both innovative and trustworthy. You’ll report to Lisa Chapello, Head of AI Platform (here’s her ReadMe).

  • Zapier Code of Conduct

  • Diversity and Inclusivity at Zapier

About You

  • You center the customer in everything you do. You prioritize high-impact results, proactively coordinate with stakeholders, address misalignment early, and keep leaders informed. You embrace change and adapt based on customer feedback and market shifts.

  • You own outcomes, not just outputs. You take initiative without needing top-down direction, but you're also an effective communicator who can bring others with you. You have sound judgment and balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals in your decisions. You innovate by using AI and Zapier products, running thoughtful experiments, and turning insights into action.

  • You win together with your team. You communicate clearly and transparently to share context and build trust. You collaborate across teams by stepping beyond your role's responsibilities to navigate friction and contribute to shared outcomes. You give, request, and use diverse feedback to improve Zapier's outcomes, even when it's hard or uncomfortable.

  • You relish a technical problem and have deep empathy for technical users. You've worked with developer-facing products before, and can translate complex concepts into clear requirements and business cases. You understand the developer experience and can advocate for what technical customers and decision-makers need.

  • You think on multiple time horizons. You get just as much satisfaction from rapid experimentation as you do from building production-ready systems that can scale to GA.

  • You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. You can turn loosely defined problems into concrete product strategies. You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and can pivot quickly as you learn more.

Things You'll Do

  • Lead MCP product development: Define and execute the product roadmap for Zapier's MCP Server, enabling third-party AI agents to seamlessly connect with Zapier's ecosystem of 8,000+ apps.

  • Interface with technical customers: Work directly with developers, AI companies, and enterprise customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and prioritize features that drive adoption and satisfaction.

  • Monitor the competitive landscape and emerging standards to keep Zapier at the forefront of the MCP ecosystem

  • Enhance the developer experience: Seek out opportunities to help third-party developers more quickly integrate & succeed with Zapier's platform.

  • Prioritize for performance and growth: Define success metrics for your products’ performance and customer satisfaction. Use data to identify optimization opportunities and guide product improvements.

  • Shape AI orchestration: Consult on Zapier's approach to enterprise orchestration in the AI era, working with other product teams to establish patterns that spur innovation with appropriate guardrails.

How to Apply

At Zapier, we believe that diverse perspectives and experiences make us better, which is why we have a non-standard application process designed to promote inclusion and equity. We're looking for the best fit for each of our roles, regardless of the type of companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don’t exactly match the job description. All we ask is that you answer a few in-depth questions in our application that would typically be asked at the start of an interview process. This helps speed things up by letting us get to know you and your skillset a bit better right out of the gate. Please be sure to answer each question; the resume and CV fields are optional.

Education is not a requirement for our roles; however, if you receive an offer, you will need to include your most recent educational experience as part of our background check process.

After you apply, you are going to hear back from us—even if we don’t see an immediate fit with our team. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to never go more than seven days without letting you know the status of your application. We know we’ll make mistakes from time to time, so if you ever have questions about where you stand or about the process, just ask your recruiter!

Zapier is an equal-opportunity employer and we're excited to work with talented and empathetic people of all identities. Zapier does not discriminate based on someone's identity in any aspect of hiring or employment as required by law and in line with our commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Equity. Our code of conduct provides a beacon for the kind of company we strive to be, and we celebrate our differences because those differences are what allow us to make a product that serves a global user base. Zapier will consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, consistent with applicable laws.

Zapier prioritizes the security of our customers' information and is dedicated to adhering to all applicable data privacy laws. You can review our privacy policy here.

Zapier is committed to inclusion. As part of this commitment, Zapier welcomes applications from individuals with disabilities and will work to provide reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodations are needed to participate in the job application or interview process, please contact jobs@zapier.com.

Application Deadline:

The anticipated application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later, or if the position is filled.

Even though we’re an all-remote company, we still need to be thoughtful about where we have Zapiens working. Check out this resource for a list of countries where we currently cannot have Zapiens permanently working.
