Sr. Platform Engineer (Golang)
**Candidate Note: This position is 100% remote for candidates based in Italy or Spain**
We're looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Support Innovation & Delivery platform team.
What your impact will be:
You will own delivery for key aspects of the Support Innovation and Delivery platform.
You will design, build, and optimize scalable support engineering solutions to enhance reliability, automation, and self-service.
You will collaborate across teams to bring AI-driven workflows, knowledge integration, and operational excellence to the Support function.
You will continuously improve Kubernetes-based infrastructure, automation pipelines, and support tooling to accelerate customer outcomes.
What you will bring:
5–8+ years of experience working as a DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineer in large-scale environments.
Kubernetes expertise:
Deep understanding of pods, services, deployments, volumes, namespaces, RBAC
Hands-on experience with kubectl, Helm, YAML-based definitions
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize workloads for performance and efficiency
Development skills (Python and/or Go):
Building automation, microservices, and internal tooling
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, CLI development, and integrations
Experience with testing, logging, and performance profiling
Git & GitHub fluency:
Strong grasp of branching, merging, rebasing, and conflict resolution
Experience with PR reviews, GitHub Actions, issues, and release workflows
AI concepts & systems:
Understanding of LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and retriever architectures
Exposure to AI model deployment and integration with backend services a plus
Linux system administration:
Proficiency in shell scripting, performance tuning, and monitoring with tools like top, htop, iostat, netstat
Comfort with configuring and troubleshooting Ubuntu/CentOS servers
PostgreSQL basics:
Setup, configuration, backups, indexing strategies, and query plan interpretation
Understanding of roles, permissions, and extensions
What will give you an edge:
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, etc.)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and image management
Exposure to observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.)
Prior experience working in customer support or platform engineering environments
