Sr Manager - Product Design, Personalized Experiences
Pinterest is looking for a Sr. Product Design Manager to support our Personalization team, focused on Home and User Feedback. In this role you’ll support a team of Product and Content Designers, collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to help build personally relevant experiences for our users.
What you’ll do:
Lead, build, develop and inspire a team of Product Designers to continually elevate the design direction and product quality
Partner with Product and Engineering to define the key results and identify the most impactful features to build
Build a successful, collaborative environment that encourages deep partnership with cross-functional teams and sets a high bar for design craft
Champion customer-centricity, accessibility and inclusion, and good design choices across functions
Influence product strategy and enable your team to create elegant designs that solve complex problems
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in design, a related field or equivalent experience
7+ years in Product Design (or equivalent)
4+ years experience building and growing multi-disciplinary design teams and with digital products especially building design systems for native app platforms
High design craft and experience in multiple design fields (UX, UI, design systems, prototyping) and prior work demonstrating a strong design process, clear insights, and problem solving
Ability to build narratives and tell stories through design, while also being able to get into the details with their team to shape the pixel level details of the craft.
Proven ability to work closely with your cross-functional partners to paint a long-term vision, develop a path to get there, and iterate in the short-term to meet long-term goals
Strong ability to accelerate team efficiency by improving processes and workflows within the design and cross-functional teams
Proven track record of being able to balance ambiguity, fast iterative sprints, business awareness, technology, organizational agility, research and data insights, and high design quality
