Sr. Director - Global Compensation
POS-29998
The Role
HubSpot is seeking a Senior Director of Global Compensation to lead our global compensation strategy. This role is a critical part of the Total Rewards leadership team, responsible for designing and executing executive and broad-based compensation programs that attract, retain, and develop the talent we need to grow. Reporting to the VP Total Rewards, you'll partner with your partners across the People Team to architect our compensation philosophy, ensuring our rewards reflect our values, fuel performance, and scale with our ambitions.
This is a high-impact role for a leader who can not only set strategy but also translate it into operational excellence. You will ensure our compensation strategy is fully aligned with our broader EVP and talent goals, all in service of our business growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building a world-class, data-driven compensation function.
What You'll Do
Architect Our Global Compensation Strategy: This role will be a strategic partner, closing gaps in our current compensation strategy and operating model. You will lead a strategic review of our compensation programs, creating a comprehensive, clear, and compelling strategy that everyone understands. You will oversee all aspects of global compensation, including base pay, bonuses, equity, and long-term incentives.
Drive Operational Excellence and Scale: You will be responsible for translating strategy into operational output. This includes overseeing global salary structures, job architecture, compensation cycles, and short-term incentive programs. You’ll lead benchmarking, survey participation, and analysis to ensure our compensation bands remain competitive. You will also leverage your analytical and financial acumen to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
Build for an AI-First Future: You will need to be forward-thinking and consider how roles and compensation will change in an AI-first world. You will lead the effort to look at compensating roles differently as the landscape evolves. Your work will ensure our compensation approach is not just reactive but proactively fuels our growth.
Lead a World-Class Compensation Team: You will manage and develop a high-performing compensation team. You will foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, attracting exceptional talent and structuring the team for scale to deliver strategic support and operational delivery.
What You'll Bring

Proven expertise in broad-based compensation strategy is required. Experience in both executive compensation and broad-based compensation strategy is preferred.

A strategic and analytical mindset. You should be a systems and first-principles thinker with high critical thinking and a logic-based approach.
