Sr. Billing Specialist

What You'll Do: First Advantage is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Billing Specialist to join our Transportation Department. This role is critical to maintaining accurate and timely billing operations and ensuring all transportation-related receivables are properly coded and processed in Oracle. The ideal candidate will play a key part in supporting the department's financial health by ensuring monthly closings are accurate and on time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and collaborating with clients and internal teams. Responsibilities:
Process monthly Fleet Vehicle Service Fee billing accurately and on schedule
Handle special fleet invoice requests as needed
Manage end-of-month Geotab billing and ensure accuracy
Perform end-of-month transportation accruals
Research and respond to billing inquiries from clients
Collaborate directly with clients to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction
Assist with month-end close processes to ensure financials are completed accurately and timely
Support special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed
What you will need to be successful:
Education: Associate degree in accounting preferred
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant accounting or accounts receivable experience
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions)
Experience with Oracle Financials is a strong plus
Key Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective problem-solving abilities and sound judgment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments and interact professionally with clients
