We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the development team at InRule responsible for our process automation platform. This role requires a hands-on approach, with up to 40% of your time dedicated to writing code and helping your team develop robust technical designs to effectively achieve planned deliverables. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for building innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented software developers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects. Ensure stakeholders receive clear updates on progress towards key deliverables.

  • Provide technical guidance and support in the design, development, and deployment of containerized software services.

  • Actively participate in both implementation and code review, contributing to the development of high-quality software solutions.

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements. Drive adoption of IaC and other cloud-native tooling and implement best practices including agile planning and CI/CD to continually optimize deployment lead times.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Architecture, Quality Assurance, and Technical Operations, to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs and comply with our information security requirements.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. Identify training and development opportunities.

  • Address and resolve technical and architectural challenges. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our software products.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a management role.

  • Proficiency in developing software using .NET & C#, building containerized applications using Docker and deploying using Azure Container Apps, Kubernetes or other managed container orchestration solutions.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a global, collaborative and hybrid work environment, with some team members located at our Gothenburg office (a few days per week) and some fully remote.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Experience in a SaaS environment.

  • Microsoft Azure certifications.
