Social Media and Marketing Specialist

Role Overview

This new and exciting role puts you at the forefront of our social media revolution, where you'll craft and shape Blinkist's unique digital identity through thumb-stopping creativity and buzz-worthy storytelling. You'll be the creative force behind our Instagram and TikTok presence, creating viral moments while building a community of curious minds and connecting with fresh audiences who could become our biggest fans.

About the Role

Primary Focus (70%): Organic Social Media Excellence

• Drive organic growth and engagement on Instagram and TikTok platforms

• Live and breathe Instagram / TikTok culture - from trending sounds to emerging formats, staying plugged into the platform's pulse 24/7

• Develop and execute content strategies that shape the company's creative vision

• Closely Monitor platform trends

• Build high community engagement with innovative ideas and high frequency

Supporting Functions (30%): Creative Production & Marketing Support

• Assist with AI-driven and manual asset production workflows using tools as Canva & Figma

• Manage content uploading and platform optimization

• Support cross-functional marketing projects and campaigns

• Contribute to performance creative testing ideation

About You

Social Media Native

• Deeply embedded in Instagram and TikTok culture with intuitive understanding of platform dynamics

• Demonstrates genuine passion for social media as both consumer and creator

• Stays current with emerging trends, viral content, and platform updates

Creative Innovator

• Generates original, outside-the-box content regularly

• Quickly adapts and builds upon viral trends from industry leaders

• Strong design and messaging skills

• Brings next level creativity and fresh perspective to social media strategy

• Successfully translates organic content insights into performance marketing opportunities

Agile Content Producer

• Comfortable with rapid content creation

• Embodies 'shoot first, perfect later' mentality for timely trend participation

• Adapts quickly to new tools

• Maintains high production velocity without sacrificing quality standards

• Demonstrates executional excellence in supporting team objectives

Strategic Mindset
