Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hello, hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA, making each day exciting and dynamic. As part of this journey, we’re looking for a passionate SEO Country Lead to join our International SEO team and drive growth in Poland.

About the Role

In this role, you will lead all aspects of SEO for Polish-specific pages on canva.com, supported by a global team of experts. You’ll have access to top-tier enterprise tools and our in-house platforms, enabling you to implement world-class SEO strategies. Collaborating closely with the Polish Content Specialist, you’ll focus on localising English pages, optimising for target keywords, and maintaining high technical hygiene.

You’ll guide the Polish-specific link builder on effective link-building strategies and lead bespoke, country-level SEO initiatives. Adapting to a hyper-growth environment, you’ll make data-driven decisions and continuously seek new opportunities and process improvements. Your leadership will be crucial in rallying cross-functional teams towards ambitious growth goals.

Reporting directly to the Regional SEO Lead, you’ll ensure our global strategies are effectively localised while also developing unique strategies for the Polish market. Your role will involve representing your team within the broader company through regular presentations, reports, workshops, and goal-planning sessions.

What you’ll do (responsibilities)

  • You’ll drive the development and implementation of the SEO Strategy for Canva in Poland and lead all aspects of SEO including technical SEO, content generation and management, link building, and landing page launch and optimisation.

  • You’ll build and lead a team of seasoned SEO experts, including Content and Outreach Specialists.

  • You'll become an expert in the search landscape for relevant niches within the Polish market relevant to Canva, develop a comprehensive understanding of competitors, and identify areas of opportunity.

  • You’ll maintain a deep understanding of the vision and priorities for SEO in Poland , how they fit into broader i18n SEO Group and company goals and strategies and prioritise a backlog of activity within the market accordingly.

  • You'll work with content specialists and the localisation team to produce or translate the required content for the pages, then build and launch the pages in the Canva CMS.

  • You'll guide outreach specialists to define the target pages for link-building campaigns, and support them to find new tactics and improve existing tactics

  • You'll use our third-party tools to monitor the site for technical hygiene (broken links, redirect chains etc), and make fixes as required

  • You'll report on wins and opportunities for improvement within Poland.

  • You’ll support the growth of your local team when relevant, helping hire SEO specialists in your market as required.

What we're looking for

  • Proficiency in Polish with business-level English.

  • Someone who can demonstrate successful outcomes from previous SEO projects on large websites (500 pages or more) that they have led.

  • Someone with a good understanding of each of the three 'pillars' of SEO; content, technical and link building, and how they work together.

  • Someone who can build a vision for delivering exceptionally high growth in Poland and work independently to execute the necessary tasks to achieve that vision, solving their own problems where possible along the way.

  • We're a large team that relies on tried-and-tested processes to execute tasks quickly and efficiently. As such, this role will suit an SEO Lead with high attention to detail and the ability to closely follow detailed written instructions.

  • Someone who has strong analytical skills and is comfortable using data to guide decision-making with experience in tracking and reporting on SEO performance metrics and using these insights to inform strategies and tactics.

  • Someone with experience using SEO and web analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Mode, Looker, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Dragon Metrics, Screaming Frog, and Botify.

About the team

The International SEO team is responsible for improving SEO performance of logged-out pages across the Canva website. Our mission in SEO is to empower every user in the world to discover Canva.

We make hiring decisions to engage contractors based on your experience, skills and passion. When you signify interest in the Project, please tell us the pronouns you use and any reasonable adjustments you may need during the contractor-accreditation interview process.
