Senior Technical Program Manager

Beginning of the year, OLX created a Senior Technical Program Management discipline to manage the portfolio of OLX Group programs across all its business units and provide global visibility to leadership. This team will provide hands-on program management when product delivery and integration span organizational boundaries.

Additionally, this team owns and leads programs with global scope for compliance, security, or operations that transcend any single business unit. We create the mechanisms for governance, ways of working, and prioritization across the Group. This includes strategic portfolio management tools for managing dependencies and deliverables, defining the format and cadence of program reviews, and ensuring decisions that maximize the investments of people and resources into things that matter to the company’s customers.

The role can be hired in Poland (Poznan, Warszawa or remote) or Portugal (Lisbon or remote).

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale cross-functional programs through design, development, and market launch across all European OLX classified products. 

  • Collaborate with engineering and product leaders across Group and business units to ensure work is aligned with the strategic priorities.

  • Prioritize programs, develop deliverables schedules, track external dependencies and commitments, manage stakeholders.

  • Manage programs to success, determining and mitigating risks, assessing and communicating status, providing programs visibility.

  • Establish and apply a governance framework that works across business units and functional areas for driving decision making.

  • Track program performance using success metrics, anticipate risks, resolve issues, and collaborate to fine tune programs as needed.

  • Manage a portfolio of programs using tools and analytics to ensure programs are meeting business unit and Group goals across OLX.

  • Work closely with the CTO and CTO leadership team.

Profile & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years in software program management, including managing significant cross functional projects in mid-size or large companies using industry standard software development methodologies.

  • Experience operating at scale, e.g., with teams and products around the world, in fast growing consumer markets.

  • Experience working directly with executive teams.

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Background in developing and/or applying a governance framework for decision making.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Previous experience as a Product Manager or Software Engineer.

Key Partners & Stakeholders

  • Engineering and Product Leaders - daily engagement on the programs delivery

  • The TPM team is part of the Global CTO office and regularly collaborates with OLX executive level leaders.

  • Business unit CTO and CPO leadership – collaboration and governance to ensure programs meet global and business unit goals.

  • Executive management team – preparation of quarterly reviews delivered by business unit leads.

  • Finance leaders – planning product investments, tracking program costs and ROI.
