About the Role:

Mixpanel’s mobile SDKs power event tracking and rich analytics across thousands of mobile applications. Our SDKs are critical to enabling cross-platform behavioral analytics. We’re expanding our small but mighty mobile team to build the next generation of our SDK offerings, starting with Session Replay on mobile.

We’re looking for a talented Android engineer (with bonus points for cross-platform experience) who’s passionate about building robust, high-performance libraries used by thousands of developers and millions of users. This is a high-impact role where you’ll own key parts of the SDK stack and help shape the future of our mobile analytics offerings.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and build features such as Session Replay, Autocapture, and Feature Flags into SDKs for Android and other mobile platforms

  • Develop and maintain Mixpanel’s suite of mobile SDKs, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability across platforms

  • Lead technical projects end-to-end, from design through rollout and maintenance

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and GTM to define and prioritize initiatives

  • Help drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for mobile analytics

  • Explore new mobile frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, Unity) and extend SDK support accordingly

  • Balance technical excellence, user experience, and business impact

  • Navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and help shape product direction

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expertise in Android development (Kotlin or Java), especially in building SDKs or developer tools

  • Experience shipping libraries or frameworks used by external developers - we love folks who think like platform engineers

  • Bonus: Experience with iOS development (Swift / Objective-C), React Native, Flutter, or Unity

  • Bonus: Contributions to open source projects or public developer communities

  • Deep knowledge of memory management, threading, and mobile system internals

  • Strong debugging skills and an appreciation for writing safe, scalable, crash-free code

  • Curiosity and initiative - you love figuring things out and diving into unfamiliar territory

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Culture Values

  • Be Open: When knowledge becomes open, we can come together as a team to collaborate around a shared purpose

  • Customer Focus: Our customers’ success is our success

  • Lead Change: Everyone at Mixpanel has the capacity to make an impact on the business

  • Results Oriented: Driving results in a measurable way ensures we stay focused on the highest impact initiatives
