Senior Software Engineer - Full stack

MedArrive is a fast-paced and rapidly-growing healthcare start-up on a simple mission: Improving people's lives by bringing more humanity to healthcare. Our enemy is an often soulless, transactional healthcare system that’s increasingly engineering the vital human touch away from the experience. 

Founded in 2020 and launching in our first market in early 2021, we notably improved health outcomes and reduced costs for major health plans with wraparound clinical services supported by purpose-built tech. Starting in 2024, we shifted our focus to using our technology and experience to enable other healthcare provider organizations with their growth and patient care ambitions. We are building a platform to support care models centered on bringing healthcare to an individual via a combination of in-home, virtual and digital interactions, making the essence of a person’s healthcare experience all about getting the help they need when and where they need it. 

We are a small yet mighty team drawn to the mission of healthcare, and driven by a shared passion to use technology in novel ways to solve real problems. We are looking for a creative, hands-on, Senior Software Engineer who has both new product and platform scaling experience, preferably a background in the healthcare industry.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering/architecture experience in commercial technology or technology-enabled services companies.

• Deep experience in with React or React Native

• Working experience with technologies we use across our stack:

  • Node.js

  • Typescript

  • SQL (PostgreSQL - preferred, SQL Server, etc.) 

  • Public cloud environments (AWS - preferred, Azure, GCP)

• Systems Design/ Architecture experience with excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Physically located in the United States 

• Ability to travel every once in a while (0-10%) for team meetings or customer visits

• Bonus points for:

  • Healthcare Informatics and/ or Healthcare Technology experience.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment (healthcare, finance) 

  • Experience with HIPAA or SOC2 compliance.

  • Degree in computer science or related field

  • Living in Seattle or at least being on Pacific time

  • Experience with:

    • Expo

    • GraphQL

    • Serverless

Compensation includes a base salary of $150,000 - $185,000 depending on experience, plus equity, and an annual performance-based bonus. We offer standard benefits including health, vision, dental, 401(k), and paid time off and parental leave.
