Reporting to our Managing Editor, Business & Markets, the Senior Markets Reporter will play a critical role in leading one of Axios’s largest and most-read newsletters.
Our Business desk excels in a crowded field, winning SABEW’s “Best Newsletter” honor two years in a row and featuring a nationally recognized staff who regularly contribute to cable news and national radio with insightful news and analysis.

A belief in Smart Brevity as the core writing style of Axios.
Strong writing skills for both online and newsletter platforms, and the ability to translate stories across them.
Experience working across teams to produce quality content.

Starting salary for this role is in the range of $155,000 - $180,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits. Axios' compensation philosophy takes into account cost of labor differentials across the country. Because this is a remote-optional job posting, this salary range takes into account all possible locations within the United States, but candidates will only be eligible for the salary range for their location.
