Senior Program Strategy and Delivery Manager

As a Senior Program Strategy and Delivery Manager in Airbnb's Fraud and Safety Operations Team, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of our Defense systems. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of programs/initiatives that will impact the way we deliver a Trusted user journey and customer experience for Airbnb hosts and guests. You will create, manage, and maintain the roadmap of key programs/initiatives ensuring alignment with Airbnb’s business objectives. You will drive end-to-end delivery for products that make Airbnb a safe and reliable platform.

Working closely with cross-functional or organizational teams, you will collaborate on the design and execution of transformative Fraud and Safety Operations solutions. Your ability to think strategically and identify opportunities and gaps will be crucial in unlocking more value for hosts and guests and ensuring that Airbnb remains at the forefront of the industry.

You will report to the Senior Manager for Fraud and Safety Operations Program Management. This role will require strong leadership skills, as you will be responsible for working closely with many cross functional stakeholders. Your ability to inspire and motivate others will be essential in fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

About You:

• You have experience partnering with management to deliver strategic objectives that have material impact on key business metrics

• You have a proven track record of launching complex products in highly constrained environments through the full scope of the product development lifecycle 

• You have phenomenal problem solving skills

• You are detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to identify and manage blocking issues

• You build great relationships and can collaborate with management to drive alignment across large cross-functional teams 

• You enjoy learning how products are built and run, and can distill complex systems and processes into simple written and verbal communications 

• You are excellent at connecting the dots across initiatives and ensuring teams are focused on delivering what matters most

A Typical Day: 

• Build relationships within the Fraud and Safety Operations team and across Airbnb to facilitate successful development and delivery of the roadmap

• Manage program / initiative roadmap, consistently evaluating new potential entrants to ensure alignment with goals

• Understand and articulate how initiatives and projects contribute to overall strategic priority metrics. In partnership with management define metrics and create explanations of how your work contributes to overall goals

• Track critical milestones within to ensure progress is being achieved and report out on progress against roadmap

• Engage with cross functional team members to support resolution of issues impeding progress

• Lead cross-organization teams and program team driving cross-functional programs post exit from ideation phase through launch

• Collaborate with management and cross-functional team to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, adapting them as necessary to meet evolving business needs and market conditions

Your Expertise:

• 10+ years of experience driving complex cross-functional programs 

• Expert understanding of project management and maturation fundamentals

• Excellent communication, engagement and leadership influence skills

• Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment where communication with multiple groups and stakeholders is imperative

• Thrives in ambiguity and expertly brings order to chaos 

• Professional Program Management certification preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences preferred

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
