We are looking for a driven and collaborative Senior Program Manager to deliver and continuously improve impactful Trust & Safety initiatives at Pinterest. You’ll join the Strategy & Operations team, with a focus on programs and projects that address critical safety domains such as self-injury and violence. You’ll lead key operational programs end-to-end, partner closely with cross-functional teams, and help ensure operational excellence for Pinterest’s most important trust and safety commitments. You may also take on other priority areas as business needs evolve.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and deliver initiatives and programs focused on harm areas such as (but not limited to) Hateful Activities, Self-Harm, Graphic Violence and Threats, Dangerous Goods and Services, and Violative Messages/Comments, using effective, collaborative, project management and cross-functional operations skills.

  • Program & Project Leadership: Designing roadmaps, ensuring deliverables and action-items are executed on time, quantifying impact of work, and escalating delays/issues/resource constraints/misalignments as needed. Addressing hurdles and solutioning issues. Lead and execute ad-hoc programs and projects from planning through delivery—track milestones, drive execution, resolve issues, and ensure clear alignment across teams.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the main point of contact for working groups. Strong collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support of teammates as well as partners like Operations, Trust & Safety, Policy, Product, Eng, Legal, Comms, Data Analysts, and Vendor Management to support effective enforcement and alignment; surface risks, recommend adjustments, and track progress toward collective objectives.

  • Process Documentation & Improvement: Develop, standardize, and maintain process documentation and governance for assigned programs, ensuring clarity, quality, and up-to-date procedures. Identify and implement improvements to ensure clarity. Ensure work is aligned with S&O, T&S and Pinterest priorities.

  • Insights & Reporting: Analyze operational and program data to generate actionable insights to stakeholders and support continuous improvement recommendations, sharing what’s working and where adjustments are needed.

  • Issue & Risk Management: Proactively escalate blockers, resource needs, or changes in timelines—drive solutions within projects and communicate with leadership as needed.

  • Change Implementation: Support rollout and adoption of new policies, workflows, or tools related to program areas; help guide teams through change and process updates. Embrace changes including adjusting priorities and urgencies throughout the year based on business needs.

  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and drive enhancements to program processes for scaled and sustained success. Contribute to strategic planning cycles by providing input on team OKRs updates, resource forecasts, and aligning programs to broader priorities.

  • Strong Written & Verbal Communication: Effectively communicate on program updates, changes, key info/insights, flags at the right altitude to right audiences at the right time. Provide exec-friendly comms while proactively managing team alignment.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven program or project management experience, preferably in Trust & Safety, content integrity, risk management, or similar fields.

  • Strong track record of execution: Able to own and drive several projects at once, independently managing priorities and deliverables in a dynamic environment.

  • Solutions oriented & Analytical mindset: Uses data, performance metrics, and trends to inform decisions and surface improvements. Actively works on remediation.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills: Collaborates well across teams, builds consensus, and clearly communicates program goals and updates.

  • Process improvement or documentation experience: Comfortable maintaining and improving workflows and processes.

  • Adaptable, action-oriented, accountable: Self-starter and learner who can navigate dynamic environments and shifting priorities with a solutions-first attitude.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.

  • Preferred: Experience with program or policy work related to comments, messages, dangerous goods, self-injury, violence, or other sensitive safety domains in content moderation.
