Spotify’s mission is to unlock the potential of human creativity by giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their work and billions of fans the opportunity to enjoy and be inspired by it.

We are looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced Senior Product Manager to join the Music Mission team — focused on building products for creative and administrative uses for artists and rights holders alike. In this role, you will work with a dedicated engineering team and a cross-functional team across R&D, Partnerships, Business Affairs, Legal, and Operations to define and implement rights management systems at Spotify. From prototyping to launching and scaling the product in the market, you’ll guide the applications that make copyright management scalable for Spotify and stakeholders.

This is a strategic area for the company that will enrich the Spotify experience and propel user growth.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with PMs, design, insights, and engineering teams on the design, implementation, delivery and adoption of rights holder and creator-facing catalog management applications ensuring that the full end to end experience is top notch.

  • Prioritize new features based on user needs, internal priorities, and technical platform scalability.

  • Set and follow metrics that advise us of the success of the products and their impact on the Spotify ecosystem and users.

  • Advise cross-functional teams on industry standards and feasibility. Manage internal and external expectations against a complex, long-term product rollout.

  • Interface with the music industry alongside other Spotify teams to provide rights management expertise and assist in requirements gathering and product adoption.

Who You Are

  • You have proven experience working as a product manager, partnering with cross-functional teams that have shipped products at scale.

  • You have experience working in the music rights management space and are familiar with many best practices across both label and publishing domains.

  • You ideally have worked on a B2B product and in the digital music rights space. Familiarity with specific industry systems such as YouTube ContentID/CMS and Meta Rights Manager is very compelling.

  • You have experience collaborating with a wide range of non-product partners in a matrixed organization, and understand how to influence and inspire teams.

  • You’re a compelling storyteller who can communicate in succinct and inspiring ways to a variety of audience types.

  • You’re passionate about the opportunity to better serve artists, writers & their teams.

  • You are comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple offices and timezones.

Where You'll Be

  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the EST time zone as long as we have a work location.

The United States base range for this position is $142,203 - $203,147 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, a monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
