Octopus Deploy sets the standard for Continuous Delivery, empowering software teams to deliver value in an agile way. Over 4,000 organizations globally – including Ubisoft, Domino’s Pizza, Nike, Xero, Stack Overflow, NASA, and Disney – rely on our Continuous Delivery, GitOps, and release orchestration solutions.

We’re a profitable scale-up of 350+ people, growing steadily. We’ve built a high-trust, remote-first, and value-driven culture where people are given space to do their best work.

About the role

We’re looking for a Product Manager or senior Product Manager to lead our Identity team and report to Iryna Melnyk, our Product Director.

We are open to first-time Product Manager candidates with experience in the Identity and Access management space who are excited and ready to grow their product/entrepreneurial skills. If you’ve been following thought leaders like Teresa Torres, Melissa Perri, Rich Mironov, Jason Knight and looking for an opportunity to put what you’ve learned into practice in an empowered team, this is your chance!

You’ll be part of a cross-functional, mission-oriented Product Leadership Team (PLT) with an Engineering Manager, Designer, and Lead Engineer sharing accountability for your team’s outcomes.

You and your team will work to deliver a world-class Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) experience, enabling seamless, secure access and management for both end users and administrators. We aim to provide a robust, flexible, and user-friendly experience that simplifies onboarding, champions security policies, and reduces operational burdens, making identity and access management a strategic enabler for growth.

Why this job is exciting

  • You will have ownership of the “Octopus front door” experience for every user across more than 4,000 customers worldwide

  • You’ll be part of a growing, high-impact team with a strong track record of delivery

  • We’re building an enterprise SaaS product people actually enjoy using

  • Develop your skills in a B2B SaaS scale-up with autonomy and growth

  • Your manager and leaders are committed to your career growth

What you’ll do

  • You'll set the product direction for the Customer Identity and Access management at Octopus, aligning business objectives, security and compliance needs and customer experience

  • Transform Octopus’s Access Management capabilities across Octopus Cloud and Octopus Self-host, driving enterprise-ready capabilities such as SSO, SAML, SCIM, etc.

  • Collaborate with your team, Security and GRC partners and Revenue stakeholders in thinking big, unifying the technical vision, customer needs, and business goals to shape the solutions and take them to market

  • Inspire and excite the team to do the best work of their careers through stories of the purpose and impact of their work

We are looking for someone like you who

  • Has experience in the identity and access management space

  • Has worked on an Enterprise/B2B SaaS product supporting complex requirements like compliance policies, DLP, and role-based access

  • Is comfortable managing a technical product, including a balance of aspects such as user experience, security, and scalability

  • Has a highly collaborative approach and creates alignment within the organisation across decision-makers, influencers and peers

  • Represents your product, always looking for opportunities to improve engagement and support customer success

Why working at Octopus is a great opportunity

  • We offer great benefits, including generous laptop and home office allowances, plus stock options!

  • We value transparency and fairness in every aspect of our business. For example, our SVP of Finance shares monthly updates on company performance, and our pay structures are designed to pass the ‘printer test’.

  • Trust and autonomy. Octonauts are treated like adults and are trusted to find the best way to work for the task at hand without managers looking over their shoulder.

  • You’ll be joining a high-growth company with numerous opportunities to learn and advance your career.

  • We are a supportive company where everyone’s contribution is valued.

  • We respect and encourage work/life balance.
