This role is critical to protecting our customers and their end users from increasingly sophisticated fraud schemes and prevent bad actors from using our services while maintaining seamless user experiences across all Vonage communication API channels including voice & messaging channels..We are looking for a Product Manager to join our growing team building an emerging portfolio of customer vetting, fraud and compliance capabilities to protect our global business. This is an exciting role in the Product Team working transversely with our Product Managers, engineering teams and business owners to solve and assist in the implementation of software based fraud and vetting solutions. We are seeking a messaging or fraud management expert with a passion for innovation, a relentless focus on customer experience and an interest in fighting global fraud threats.
Your key responsibilities:
Define and execute the fraud protection roadmap for both customer facing and internal anti-fraud systems.
Own and maintain the product roadmap in collaboration with other Product Managers delivering solutions to protect against Voice robocalling, messaging compliance, customer risk profiling and vetting.
Research and analyse new threats and propose countermeasures to identify and mitigate emerging fraud tactics, techniques and procedures.
Manage and maintain a product backlog and create user stories and product requirements for fraud engineering teams
What you'll bring:
Required:
Previous experience of agile development methodologies and product management frameworks
Strong knowledge in data protection and compliance, security-oriented cloud services, fraud vector analytics, and threat detection and prevention
Proven experience working as a business subject matter expert or in a technical capacity within fraud management or security
Minimum 3 years experience of managing products in highly regulated industries
Experience in telco, cloud or finance industries preferred
Experience we consider a plus:
Computer Science degree or similar technical qualification in engineering, finance, business administration or related field
Prior experience in telecoms or finance fraud management
Strong understanding of telecoms and web protocols (SIP, SMPP, HTTP, REST APIs)
Professional certifications in fraud management, security or compliance
Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
Experience using Jira, Confluence and project management tools
Familiarity working with data in formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, etc.
